Make sure that you go to the And we are back with another episode of the Hello Cheese May Podcast. My name is Dana, and I'm your host. Well, well, well, well, well, everyone. Welcome back. Um happy new year. Uh as happy as we can be, right? Um it's 2026. Can you believe it? I can't try. Um we 15 days into this new year, and baby, I barely made it. I barely made it. When I tell you, I have been up and out of the up and down out of this bed all day today. I've been back and forth to the doctor for the last two days. And um mama tired. Mama is tired. Okay. It's it's it's too much. It's too much going on for me, you know? Um, yesterday I went and took my tail to see the dermatologist because uh I have been working out and was wearing this sweat vest, and it gave me a little bit of an eczema rash of some sort. Um, and I know you're probably thinking you need to sue the company, but you know, we're gonna get we're gonna see what's going on. Um, but I've always had a history of eczema. Um, not that I've really shared, and not that I really care to share because it's a typical thing. A lot of people have eczema, a lot of people be going through skin issues. You know, everybody got their battles. Anyway, went to the doctor yesterday. Uh dermatologist was looking at what was going on with my back, my big O bag, and um got some ointments and creams and things today after my allergy appointment with my allergist. And I haven't been to an allergist, and I want to tell you, in over a decade. I used to go all the time when I was younger because I had a lot of allergies, still have a lot of allergies in my adult years. So um I went and uh he got me all the things, got me together. I even got an EpiPen. Some of my friends listening is gonna be happy that I finally got an EpiPen, child. I finally got me a new EpiPen because I haven't been carrying one for years. I haven't. Um, but I do got one now. It's in my bag. I'll be carrying it everywhere with me now. So just in case I need to myself in the leg or somebody around me does, um, reprepared. Uh but yes, and then I also got my flu and COVID shot, which I think could be part of the reason why I'm feeling such um uh what's the word? Um, it's escaping me, but I'm just feeling extremely tired. Um oh my god, the word won't come find me. But anyway, I'm pretty sure that's why it's been going on. That's why I'm feeling that way. Um, because I was out here trying to make sure that I had all my things and um make sure that I wasn't running around here without my flu shots, my COVID shots updated, and you know, just checking on my health. They say that you're supposed to do that at the beginning of every year, so that's what we're doing. Um fatigue. That's the word. Uh other than that, you know, I went back to work. Work has been trying to take your girl right on out of here. Um It's been a little ghetto. To say the least, honey. It's been a little ghetto. And then I decided to start this diet. Um, not all no new year, new me shit. If you've been listening to the show, y'all know that I be trying to keep up with my fitness, trying to just stay afloat and not be running around here looking like a boogaloo. Um, so there's that. Uh but other than that, it's been a lot of other shit going on. You know, the world is still uh burning itself down, honey. Um there is things happening in the U.S. We still have ice uh running down everybody's back. We still have, you know, the president and all of his homies still acting a fucking foo, and out here just terrorizing everybody and all their and all the people. Um you know, there's shit going on at night on, there's shit going on with Venezuela. I mean, it's just shit on top of shit on top of shit. And we've only been here for 15 days, and Tabitha uh Auntie Tab told 2026 best, you need to get down and sit, sit, get somewhere and sit down somewhere because we don't know you like that, and we can be over you just like we was over that last chick, 2025. And I'm I'm it I I'm almost my my clock, my cur my ticker is almost right at over it because baby, I I just I I don't know. I don't know. You know, I um I I don't know. It's c I'm it's it's just about getting there. And it's just about it's just January. And it's just January 15th, which while we're talking about a shout out to M OK, uh Martin Luther the King Jr. Um, that we will be this weekend will be Martin Luther King's Jr.'s uh birthday and holiday. And um I'm so happy that I get a four-day weekend, child. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. And pardon my yawn, I told you hoes, I was tired. Um how y'all doing? How was the rest of y'all's holidays? Um I mean, I kinda took a break, but not really took a break. Um I worked majority of the time. Meaning I showed I opened my laptop and you know, I did some things. Um, but there wasn't a lot of people at work, so there wasn't a lot for me really to do while I was uh while most people were on break. Um my family, I went and saw a family after Christmas and New Year's. My cousin was here for New Year's Eve, which was a blast. We acted a damn fool. Um, and my mom turned 70 during this break. So that was pretty exciting. I we and my siblings were able to throw her a nice 70th birthday party. It was themed that she did a 70s theme for her 70th birthday, which was cool. Uh so we all dressed apart and we all had ourselves a crazy old good time. Um, but other than that, you know, going back to work, not necessarily taking some time off, I kinda uh screwed myself over because I realized now today that I needed that break and I should have taken the break. Um because I am still feeling a little burnt out and still feeling a little tired. Um, so but it's okay. You live and you learn. Uh the first year I worked at my company, I did the same thing. I didn't really take any time off um because I didn't need to because we close. And so I just, you know, this year felt the same way, but you know, so much has happened over the years. So I definitely felt like I should have taken some time for myself to recuperate. And um see all that to say that with all the shit going on in the world, you definitely should start to figure out for you when you kind of need to check out and recuperate for you know what we all got going on. It's a lot moving around, a lot of shit happening, and sometimes you need to just clock the fuck out. And um, you know, we all also got bills to pay, so it's kind of hard to do that sometimes too. And I get it, trust me. Um but with all that being said, you know, it's still a new year. Um we're gonna embrace the challenges that come our way, and we are going to um move forward. Uh this episode, I'm just gonna be yapping about a couple of different things and probably rambling on. Um, but I do got some shit that I want to cover, and uh, we're gonna get to that. Let's take a quick little break, and then we're gonna jump into some things.

Bye.

SPEAKER_00:

And we are back. So this week we're gonna cover a couple of world conflicts. It's a lot of domestic, it's a lot of shit going on, and it's a lot of things happening in pop culture. There's a lot of things happening in TV. Um Traitors is back, the new season of Traitors. I don't know how many of y'all listening like to watch traders like I like traders. Um, but I am very excited for this new season with uh Portia. Uh you have Candace uh Bast, Candace Basalt, Dillard, uh or Dillard Basalt, I don't know. Uh, and you have um Lisa Renna, who this has made me remember how much I loved her on Housewives of Beverly Hills. Um, you have Dorinda, uh, and then you have people from like um Survivor and Big Brother, like Tiffany from Big Brother. Um, none of the people from Survivor I really know because I never really got into Survivor. I just always felt like y'all on TV naked and y'all got blurs in front of it. I would rather see without the blurs. I'm trying to see what's going on. Excuse me. It's fine. That was my thought. Um, who else did I know? Oh, Monet Exchange is up there giving it. I'm actually happy that Monet has made it more than at this point, two episodes because the last couple of drag queens did not make it that long. Um, so I'm here and hoping that Monet can make it at least to midseason or even the end. We'll see. Um, but she's been up there and twirling it and giving it to the kids, and I love it. Um, but I've always loved Monet Exchange. I love the outfit she wears. I love she just always beat, beep, beat, beep down. Um, and I love that. Uh Portia. What I didn't understand about Portia is or I don't know that I should be mad at Portia, or should I? I'm not, I'm gonna try not to spill any spoilers today. But as we get some more episodes, I'm coming back and we're gonna talk about traders. And I'm it I'm gonna be spilling the tea. But girl, um, who else is on there that I've been liking? I like Jam Jam. Um, I just like his accent, and he's cute. Um, who else? And the Mark, I think his name is Mark, with the curl pretty curly hair, and he just seems really cool. Um, but all in all, Traders so far has been very good, and I'm here for it. Also, last night, me and my husband discovered that the show The Boyfriend is out, which is kind of um I don't, it's like a it's like a reality TV show where um these boys go into a house and they're in a house in uh right now I believe they're in Japan and the um in like their mountain countryside uh and it's winter and they have a cabin and that they're staying in for two months, and um they are there to potentially find the love of their lives. And I watched me and my husband watched the first season, and now the second season had come out, has come out, and I'm obsessed. You know, I love a good love story, and I love um, you know, seeing how the same, how the same sometimes, how the same cultures can be when it comes to finding love, especially in the gay community. Because there's this one boy on there who I was like, oh, you a fuck boy. I don't give a fuck what you mix with. You you still acting like the rest of these so-and-so's out here on the street, how they be acting and you playing games. Um, but things have changed now that I'm six episodes in, so we're gonna see how it ends up. But check out the boyfriends on Netflix. Uh, that's another good show. I have not watched his and hers yet, so please don't ask me. Please don't come bothering me about it. I ain't got into it yet. We'll talk about it next time. Um, what else am I watching? And uh He der River We was the T. I, you know, it's all over social media. This show is now blown up to be, I mean, a crazy success. Um and I mean it's gonna be that show is gonna be what it's gonna be, and I'm here for all of it. Uh, even got these straight men watching it, which I love to see it. And I love to, you know, I love I love that they love and they're there for the love story. Um, I'm here for it. Uh I think that's it for TV that I'm watching right now. Um, I got, you know, I have a lot of stuff that I'm doing with, you know, the show, uh, with other content that I'm putting together. So um, and now that we're back, we're in the new year and I'm in the mode to work, I've I, you know, I just I just be sitting here working, watching TS Madison and Craig on Fag Talk on YouTube um all day long because I can listen to them and work at the same time. And in even in my cubicle or in my office I work, but I put my headphones in, child, because I ain't trying to get fired. I do work in HR. Um, but yeah, it's you know, trying to just keep myself busy and uh be checked in and clocked in as much as I can with the work that I got in front of me and the projects I have in front of me, but also keep my ear to the ground so I can have this conversation with y'all. Um other thing. So if you didn't know, on January 3rd, uh the United States carried out a large-scale military operation uh in Venezuela where they uh captured the Venezuelan president Nicolas uh Madero and his wife and uh his wife Cecilia Flores, and then they were transported to the United States. I don't have a lot of information on this, but I just am like um you capture these people and then you're talking about on the cause of the um with suspicion of drugs, uh drug traff and tr and trafficking and um you coming from the US and going to Venezuela and capturing these people? Why are we do we not have enough going on to where we need to be in other people's business? I'm just asking. Just asking. Just trying to get an understanding. We got our own shit going on, friends. Why are we going all the way to Venezuela to capture their president uh because the potential charges of drug trafficking drug and trafficking, um, I'm confused. Um doesn't make sense to me. I think we could be uh we could be doing other things rather than going to mind other people's business in Venezuela and um getting in their shit. I don't think we need to be doing that. Uh and I know I'm not Venezuelan and I don't ha you know, but I just it's confusing to me why we do shit like go and put our noses in other people's business. You know, it's kind of like that saying of throwing your stone at glass houses. Just saying. Anyway. Um, another thing, pop culture Tiana Taylor has been all over the internet, honey. And not because of her fine alleged man that she is or was dating, because we don't, I haven't seen them together in some time, but you know, they ain't my business either. Um, but she won uh her Best Supporting Actress Award for the Golden Globes uh for her performance in the movie One Battle After Another, which was a pretty good movie. Um, I wish she was in the movie more, actually. Uh, but she did do a fantastic job. Uh, I if you have not seen the movie, the movie is essentially about a vigilante group who uh, I mean, if I'm to say it, that is in the times that we're in now, and forms a group and essentially starts to try and um uh create peace. Um is it peace? Uh no, no, peace wouldn't be what I would say, I guess. They try to level the playing field with all the different shit going on in the world by uh being this vigilante group and you know being a group of men and superheroes. Um it also has um it has my brain. Um it also has Tiana Taylor, it has um Jack from Titanic, and um Homegirl from Scary Movie, and I know this baby name, but my brain is tired. Um, they were all in this movie. It was a really cool movie. I actually watched it during the holiday break. Um and Leonardo DiCaprio uh and Regina King Hall. Regina Hall. Um and they were all in the movie. They were really good, and it was a really good movie, and I think if you uh want to go see what it's all about, you should go watch it. But nevertheless, Tiana Taylor won her Best Supporting Actress uh award, which was really cool and really dope for her. She gave a really beautiful speech, um, thanking all the people who have supported her in the industry and who have um who you know has helped her into this acting world where she uh was going to after, you know, at one point saying that she was retiring from music, um, but then going back to music, which she has a fabulous album out. And then she did this fantastic YouTube singing, I'm assuming in her home somewhere. I don't give a fuck. She was singing her ass off, and um, it's so good, and that the lady's voice is just ridiculous. Um, and now she's just storming the internet with looks, giving face and bone structure and body. And I'm here for all of it. I've loved Tiana Taylor since Sweet 16. So all the girlies that are just getting on, honey, we've been here. I remember seeing her in Sweet 16 and was obsessed with that entrance and the Barbie doll box and her little breakdance, and then she wanted a bicycle for her birthday. She didn't want no fucking car. I don't even think she got a car, but she did. I remember specifically, she wanted a bike, she wanted it super decked out, she wanted it with she wanted it like super chromed out and designed it and all the things. Like I was obsessed with the little girl uh when she was 16 years old, and have been obsessed with Tiana Taylor until this day. So shout out to her. I'm so excited for her. I'm so happy to see, you know, her doing more things in her career. I would I could say that she's you know arriving, but she's been here. Like that just wouldn't be a true statement. She's been here, she's been doing the things, and I'm glad to see it. Um, the internet's favorite couple is broken up. I'm not laughing at the situation. I'm laughing at me saying it's the internet's favorite couple because I honestly I don't know if they if everybody loves this couple or even know who they are, but uh Christy Scott and Desmond Scott um are getting a divorce. Uh they were they I guess still are you I guess I can say they still are influencers that um really started to get their claim to fame during the pandemic because they were one of the biggest couples that were um on social media during that time and continued even after that. Um they had been together since uh they since being teenagers at the age of 14, um, and got married, had two kids, um, and uh during the pandemic is when I discovered them and all the uh when TikTok was completely going crazy with influencers and content creators, and um really it was the um her flipping around when she would get new shoes or him cooking for her or her just saying crazy shit or his crazy or Desmond's crazy ass laugh um when they were uh having conversations. Um they're now getting a divorce. So about uh December 30th, um Chrissy Scott have filed for divorce. Uh and she's essentially alleges that Desmond uh had um cheated on her. And he put out a statement, uh ISO press statement, saying essentially that um he acknowledges the relationship that they were in. Uh he tried, he said that they tried to work things out. He said that um he admitted that he made some choices that he was not proud of during their separation when they were in a separation period, and that um he apologizes to her and the kids. Um, and then as I'm scrolling today, a video comes out of him making out with some woman in the back of a club who's clear, well, I don't know if it's her or not, but he's definitely making out with some woman in the back of the club. Um, and you know, the internet suspects that it's some other lady that he's been fucking around, that he's been that he was messing around with. Uh, this was this comes after the announcement of their divorce. And then also Chrissy finally posts on her social media in her beautiful red dress in this activated bob, uh talking about still at the same address. And I said, and see, and that's when you clock it, because you know, men be out here trying to play in your face, especially when they know you is walking away from something um like a relationship that y'all was in that you know clearly was was at some point not going well. But I always I do think that uh in some way, shape, or form when you're a couple and you um you create a social media presence together, and you all are heavily intertwined in this space as a job and now a career because you're both making uh probably crazy amounts of dollars off of it, and then you have two children, and then everything that you all are doing becomes a a content post or creating a post about it, or you know, making it a moment. You know, I think sometimes um it starts to fall apart because of that. Um and I don't know if that was the case, but I can I can say that you know, from my observation, it was always it always seemed like creating something as a moment. Um because but she's also she was that was her her shtick, and that was what she created, that was the content she created. But this girl very well could have created content. Um, she could have been a beauty influencer because the girl is gorgeous. Um, she could have done a number of different things, but for sure, um, you know, I feel like you have to, I think in in retrospect, you know. When you're in this space uh and you're in social media together, it's I feel like it can be a sticky, a sticky game. Um that's also why I don't really I like when I have Paris on the show. I like when we do certain topics together, do certain things together, but he's not heavily a part of this because this is mine and for me. Um and you know, you kind of have to, I think there's a certain bit of protecting that you have to do of what's yours in order to be able to successfully pull, uh not I don't want to say successfully, to be able to pull off being a having a partner and being um together in social media uh together at the same time. Um, especially when everybody in your business. And then probably bitches is in his DMs, probably people were in her DMs. You know, there was probably a number of things happening, and then they got two children on top of that. That's a lot. I'm like, because Desmond ain't no ugly man and she ain't no ugly woman. So I just hope they can do it amicably and they can get through it, and that you know, they can um do it with sense, and they can, you know, move in a direction that's good for the kids and the family and continue to be friends, and maybe they can come back together late uh later. Um, you never know. But other than that, that's kind of all the things that I want to talk about today. Um this year is gonna be a great year. I have a lot planned for 2026. Uh, I have a full long content schedule uh built out and put together, so expect to see my face, um, and expect to see it get slimmer. Because a bitch is on a diet, but more so just trying to um just trying to, you know, be in a good place, whether mentally, physically, emotionally, um just getting back into the things is really what it's all about right now and today. Um, but I do have a lot of things planned for 2026. I am looking forward to all the the episodes I have put to planned and put together, uh some guest, but um mostly me. And I hope that's okay with you. Um so yeah, looking forward to this new year, looking forward to some of the things we have coming up and going on, and um I am excited for all of it. I'm excited for what this year will be and what it's gonna bring. So I hope you are too, and I hope you continue listening. Uh, let's take a break and come back and wrap up the show. Bye. Anyway, thank you for following us and thank you for listening. And we'll see you back for the remainder of the show. Bye. And we are back. So, as usual, we're wrapping up the episode with pulling some cards. Um, I thought it would be good to pull some tarot cards since we are in the new year. Since we are in the new year, and um, you know, I'm trying to, I wanted to see kind of what is it saying? What are the cards given? What what what is 2026 about to be looking like? You know, I know it's already a fucking mess, but what else you got? So I pulled the crown of wands upside down. I don't know if you can see that if you're watching, and then I pulled the five of wands right side up uh as well. Okay, camera, get it together. There we go. Um, so the crown of wands reversed uh often aligns with the queen of wands, our archetype represents wisdom earned, creative fire, leadership, and embodied confidence. So um reverse, this card suggests burnout or creative fatigue after years of giving, giving, leading, and holding space. Um, a moment of questioning your power rather than losing it, pulling your energy inward instead of outward, a shift from watch me lead to who deserves access to me. Um, and for 2026, this points to a year where you'll be redefining how you show up. You may feel less interested in being visible for visibility's sake and more protective of your energy, voice, and time. It's not a loss of passion, it's a recalibration. Oof.

unknown:

Oof.

SPEAKER_00:

That uh speaks to some things that I've been thinking about and doing. Uh, the five of wands, upright is uh the five of wands is a classic conflict, competition, and friction uh card, but not always in a negative way. Upright it signals um competing priorities pulling you in different directions directions, clashes of ideas, egos, or leadership styles, being in a room where everyone wants to be heard, creative or professional environments that feel chaotic, but um, but catalytic, catalytic. Um in 2026, this suggests external noise, debates, differing visions, power dynamics, or systems that test your patience. Oh, you may find yourself navigating group dynamics, collaborations, or institutions that don't move at your pace or honor your experience. Whoa! This is not about defeat, it's about discernment. Wow. Wow. 2026 looks like a year where you are no longer interested in proving yourself, yet you're surrounded by situations that invite comparison or competition. You're asked to choose where to engage and where to conserve your fire. Not every battle deserves your wisdom. Your leadership becomes quieter, sharper, and more intentional. Wow. The tension is this intentional retreat, crown reverse versus external chaos, which is the five of wands. Wow. This is crazy. I um in my professional life, and in what I'm doing now, this show this definitely resonates for me. Um for a couple of reasons, because I've been trying to my goal has been to figure out how to move what direction I'm moving the show and then the business that comes along with this show, right? And um in my professional life, kind of the same thing of how to move my work and projects in the direction that I want to see it to go in. Um so it's crazy that it's saying that and that it did that, you know, these are the cards that I pulled, and that's what it's saying um for the year. Because that's definitely walking into this year, that's kind of where my headspace has been and is, and just trying and then looking and figuring out how to navigate that uh in the best way possible, and without um it fucking over anybody or bothering anybody or coming off in a specific. type of way or anything like that. Um so that's interesting. Uh if that resonated with you, I'm hoping you hopefully, you know, I need y'all to start sharing. I need y'all to start getting engaged and start telling me about it and talking about it. Um you know I want to hear from you. Um but other than that that's it for today's episode. I just wanted to come check in about 2026, see where y'all at, what the girlies is doing. You know, you you already know what the car's gotta say. Um but we here we back it's gonna be a great year. I have a lot of things in store and a lot of things planned. I'm looking forward to connecting with you all this year. Um and I hope you are continu you will continue to grow with me, be with me through the year as I with you. Uh with all that being said thank you for listening make sure you follow the Hello Cheese May podcast on all platforms. Um that's Instagram that's TikTok uh y'all also need to start subscribing to this Patreon because I got some new shit coming to Patreon. Um so yeah thank you for listening and we'll catch you back next time. Bye, you can see that the city
