Speaker 2:

Cheesemake Podcast. My name is Dana, I'm Stephanie and we have Mike here with us.

Speaker 1:

Say hey, Mike. What's going on, everybody, how y'all doing yes and this is the Hella Cheesemake Podcast show. Yes, and this is the Hella Chisme Podcast show. We are back and alive in full effect with everyone. Happy Thursday.

Speaker 2:

Happy Thursday.

Speaker 1:

Also happy, mercury retrograde, because Mercury is retrograding.

Speaker 4:

That's fun.

Speaker 3:

Did it just start.

Speaker 1:

When did it start? I think it started a couple of days ago.

Speaker 2:

I think over the weekend.

Speaker 4:

When did it start?

Speaker 2:

Last weekend. I think it started over last weekend, oh okay.

Speaker 1:

I mean, it's doing its thing.

Speaker 2:

But I saw its effects.

Speaker 1:

today it's out here tap, dancing on all the technology that I got going on over here, so it's doing its best.

Speaker 4:

How's everyone doing how?

Speaker 1:

are we feeling? What's going on? Tell me all the things.

Speaker 2:

Mike, you want to go first? Is there a guess.

Speaker 3:

I don't mind starting. I'm doing good, I'm feeling really good. I'm happy to be away from the cold. It's sunny out here, it's breezy, it's hoody and shorts weather that's what I like to call it and I haven't had much of that recently, so I'm really soaking up all the sun.

Speaker 1:

That's right, because you live on the East Coast and you are now, right now, on the West Coast.

Speaker 3:

Yes, la, yes, and I'm loving the weather.

Speaker 1:

What's the weather back home for you right now?

Speaker 3:

I want to say maybe, like I mean it's warming up, it's in the 50s.

Speaker 1:

I love that it's warming up. It's in the 50s. Yeah, I love that it's warming up. It's in the 50s.

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

I mean the fact that warming up for y'all is the 50s. I mean that's oh, I hate that for you. Look me too, in the beginning of the winter I was able to do it, and once I've been in it for a couple of months, I'm like all right, I need some sun. I felt like I was starting to get lighter, like I felt like my skin was starting to get lighter. I went to the doctor and she told me I needed vitamin D. I was like, oh, I tried to explain what was happening. She was like no, people just need it during the wintertime.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, I mean. So then that's good though. But um, I mean, I think if you, if the doctor is like you need some vitamin d, what do they suggest? If you're like in the middle of dead of winter, like leave the area you're at to go get some sun somewhere likeie what's been going? On with you, girl. What's the tea?

Speaker 2:

I've been good um. I've been busy as fuck lately at work and in life.

Speaker 1:

She bagged.

Speaker 2:

My under eye bags are bagging for sure. My son is on two baseball teams and my daughter just started gymnastics. I've been doing that and I was sick last week with the flu. Really what the? And I was sick. I was sick last week with the flu.

Speaker 1:

Really what the it's going in and out it's going in and out what?

Speaker 3:

yes, the connection yeah, that's the only microphone you were telling a full story and we didn't hear anything oh man, I don't know.

Speaker 2:

My wi-fi is all the way up, but can you hear me now though?

Speaker 2:

yes, yes okay, well, I've just been busy. Um, I had the flu last week. I had the flu that is going around and I have not been sick like that in years. Like my whole body hit my kids and I. So we were just home. I missed like three days of work. So then this week I've been, you know, peddled to the floor at work, just been really busy with work. And then my son is on two teams and my daughter is on gymnastics. She's thriving in her mom life.

Speaker 1:

How have you been been? I love that. Well, life for me has been busy, some days a little bit of a dumpster fire. Some days it's not just taking it all in stride, doing what I can.

Speaker 1:

I have been in therapy quite consistently.

Speaker 1:

I had my first intake appointment, I want to say almost a month ago and then so I had started to go before the end of the year and I was using what's that they have an app and it was like literally on the tip of my tongue. Anyway, I stopped using them because they paired me with a therapist that I wasn't really vibing with and didn't really particularly, like you know, connect with. So I ended up dropping that therapist and dropping that, using that and finding this other one called Octave, and Octave has they have really they specialize in therapy care for people of color and I found this really great therapist that I've been working with so far. She's a black woman, a part of the community, and she's been kind of getting me together. So so far so good. So I've been doing that and really like a good portion of like the conversation that we've been having has been about like boundaries and building boundaries and, you know, trying to understand like why, you know, I want to do all the things all the time.

Speaker 1:

Instead of trying to create more time for myself, I want to do all the things all the time instead of trying to create more time for myself, and so we've been talking a lot about that and doing a lot of that work, and so you know that's been great, and then work has been a thing, but you know, just moving forward and pushing through. You know, I think we all can use therapy when we need it, if you're ever looking for a good therapist and looking for somebody of color? Try Octave, they are amazing.

Speaker 2:

Is it like when you?

Speaker 1:

say color.

Speaker 4:

I do want to get.

Speaker 2:

Wait, sorry, is it just? Is it like for that? They have Latino therapists, latina therapists and stuff as well?

Speaker 1:

I think so. The only thing I know is that they will ask you they ask, like, your background and ethnicity and race specifically so they can make sure to pair you with someone that you feel most comfortable with. And then they also ask you to give specifics on what type of therapist you're looking for. So I make sure to put I need somebody that's Black. I need them to be, have knowledge of the lgbtqia plus community. I also need them to be in this age bracket which I think I said like between the ages of um. I think I said like 34 to 45 or something like that, and I'm pretty sure she's either a year younger than me or a year older than me.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's perfect.

Speaker 1:

That's really cool. Yes, a perfect match. So, mike, I want to go back to you because I know the peoples that have. They've been, they've seen us, seen you on the episode with us but wanted to give you the opportunity to share and I know you've done this before, but share a little bit about yourself, what you do and you know where the people can find you. So that way you know we are making sure to give you a little bit of space to talk about yourself before we get into the mess.

Speaker 3:

I appreciate that. So I do a little bit of space to talk about yourself before we get into the math. I appreciate that, um, so I do a little bit of everything. I do music podcasting. Um, I feel like a like, I really feel like the word multi-hyphen and creative, like I do everything in every medium, um thing in every medium. Um, yeah, I'm sorry, what were the other questions? Oh, you can find me at the art of letting go podcast. Um, you know, I do a mental wellness uh, slash creative, slash queer black podcast, where we kind of just cover and talk about everything, um, and I really, I really enjoy like all aspects of creating, like I think that is is what I'm.

Speaker 3:

I'm driven by just authentic creativity yeah, yeah, and you also do a creators a, not podcast, but like workshop series, exactly right yeah, so I do workshops for creatives, just kind of facilitate workshops, teaching some of Julia Cameron's teachings from the book the Artist's Way. But also I am doing a podcast called the Creator's Toolkit with my partner and we basically talk to other creatives, just about like just trying to give free game on how people are promoting themselves, how to make money and just how are they navigating being creative entrepreneurs.

Speaker 1:

That's your partner in that show.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Really. Oh, I love that. So it's funny that me and Paris have talked about doing a show together. We we've never. The thing is that Paris is, and can be, a hot mess, and I feel like the two of us together on a show would just be. I don't know, it's either going to be really really good or really really bad, and the people will either really love us or hate us. I mean it's really just going to be the two, one of the two things. I mean it's really just going to be the two, one of the two things.

Speaker 3:

So I feel it's really fun though.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think y'all should try it out. I'm down. You know, he was actually on one of our episodes. He was on our first I wouldn't say finale, but our first year end episode, not this past year, but 2023, into 2024. He was on that year-end episode live that we did, where we talk about the trends and things we're going to leave in the previous year and all of that. So he was in that year and all of that. So he was in that and I mean still to this day. That's one of the um. That's one of the um highest ranking episodes that people still go back and listen to. So it's interesting to think that um, that people still love that episode.

Speaker 4:

Uh, that's really dope still love that episode.

Speaker 1:

Uh, that's really dope, yeah, and they still listen to it. So, you know, I think he makes for entertaining the conversation and I think his perspective, especially with pm being white, I think it's unexpected, you know, like even still sometimes, uh, people be like I thought your husband was hispanic and I was like he's absolutely not his, he is white and as far as he let him tell it, all he is is white and nothing else. So, um, but, but yeah, that's really cool that you two have found um a little venture together and find something to do together and create content together. That's dope.

Speaker 3:

So, like, a lot of the stuff we do overlaps. But with this specifically, like we have been doing, like every March, like a challenge for ourselves to sell merch, and we're like why not make a podcast out of it? And we started last year and this year we're like let's do it again and I think it's a show that we're probably going to keep going because I think we found the flow of like what really works for us. So we're probably going to keep it going.

Speaker 1:

That's good. I mean, it's always important to find a flow like right when, especially if you're going on a business venture together, it's important to find something that gives you an opportunity to do something together, especially things like creating podcasts or creating content. I don't know if you're familiar with uh, these two couple. They are uh, tiktok, tiktokers I guess you could say tiktokers, is that how you say it and they actually create content together. And one of the guys, his husband, is a comedian and then the other husband got into it.

Speaker 1:

I'll share a link with you please do what I find funny about the two of them is that they clearly been a been together for a very long time and that they they're hilarious, honestly, and they remind me of me and pierce, because one husband where has worked in corporate for a long while and the other husband was a comedian so he had not been on the road for a while and he's always getting stoned at the house always, always forgetting to do shit around the house, all kind of things. So I just love that. I love that you two have found something to do together and y'all are enjoying it. That's really cool.

Speaker 3:

I appreciate that.

Speaker 1:

So for today, ladies and gentlemen, we are going to talk about an array of topics. I do want to. We are going to play a little Jeopardy later and we are going to talk some shit, I'm sure, while we play. But in the mix of what we got going on, stephanie did some questions. Do you want to start to read off the results of those questions?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, of course I'm going to pull them up. So if you see me looking at my phone, I'm just referring to that. So let's start off with the first question.

Speaker 2:

So basically we did like people are able to submit their own questions, like if they wanted us to answer here on lives and stuff like that. So let's, we can do the second, but we'll start off with the poll questions. So one of the first poll questions that we have is tea or coffee. First I want your guys' answer and I'll say mine and then I'll read off the results. Does that work? Yes, Okay cool, so tea or coffee, mike.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to go tea. I used to work at a Starbucks. I used to drink so much coffee there that I hate coffee now.

Speaker 2:

Oh really.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I almost feel immune to it.

Speaker 2:

Got it. That's like I used to work at a casino for a while and now I don't like gambling. I saw so many people gamble so much money that I'm just like I don't want no part of it. I am a coffee girly.

Speaker 1:

You are definitely a coffee girly.

Speaker 2:

I do love tea at night, though. I usually have a cup of tea at night every night.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you already know I'm a tea drinker, so I am definitely all about the tea. English breakfast black tea is my favorite love that yeah, I love a good english breakfast also.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I love a good English breakfast also All right.

Speaker 2:

So, and you know what, Dana, I actually tried it. Like you said the other day, I added some milk and honey. That's what you said, right Daya. It tasted pretty good.

Speaker 4:

It almost reminded me of like a chai Almost, almost.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, like a little English person. Yeah, yeah, I even put my pinky up, okay. Next question would you rather travel to the past or the future? Oh wait, sorry, let me go back and read the results. I didn't read the results, so 40% said tea, 60% said coffee.

Speaker 4:

Okay, so it's actually closer than I thought it would be.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, I mean I think from based on that episode we did just reading, like all the different statistics that we talked about, I think it's clear there's a lot of coffee drinkers in the world, like people love coffee, some people like tea. Um, some people get what they need from that. But you know, what I also found out is like Yerba has a yes, paris Yerba's, and I also found like they have a cannabis Yerba. Did you know?

Speaker 3:

that? No, I would love to try it though one of my friends was drinking it.

Speaker 1:

The other day when he came to brunch, he was drinking it and I was just like I've had a.

Speaker 2:

THC seltzer and I was, but no alcohol, like it doesn't have alcohol, it just has THC. And I was like I was chilling. I was big chilling.

Speaker 3:

I might look for that while I'm here. It's like the perfect place to try to find it.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yes, for sure, down there in LA.

Speaker 2:

Marching. I mean, maybe I should. I don't know if I should be saying like business names and stuff, but not sponsored. But I heard that's hilarious.

Speaker 3:

Send us a check.

Speaker 4:

Right.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so wait. Back to the question. Would you rather travel to the past or the future?

Speaker 3:

I'm gonna say future.

Speaker 1:

Just I'm like been there, done that on the past okay, I guess can I get specific about where in the past I want to travel to?

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

No, I'll go to the future. It's fine.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

It's fine, I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

What did you? Okay, so your choice is future, but what were you going to say?

Speaker 1:

I was going to say I've always wanted to go to a Michael Jackson's concert, so I would have loved to travel back to kind of that bad era, that album that he came out with. Bad I think I may be talking about the wrong album.

Speaker 3:

He did have an album Bad. That would be really dope.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that was his kind of rock and roll era. I remember the, just the video clips. Looking now at them I would have loved to kind of go back to that.

Speaker 2:

I could see you in that like a leather ensemble yes yeah.

Speaker 1:

I already bought. I bought my cowboy hat the other day oh did you. I did it's like a chocolate brown and it has like I bought my cowboy hat the other day, oh, did you what color? It's like a chocolate brown and it has like the little belt obviously around it and like gold buckle. I'm hoping it comes with a feather, because when I went to go try them on last weekend, the black one that I tried on had a feather with it, so I'm hoping it has a feather.

Speaker 2:

I saw the theme is like gold for Cowboy Carter.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I hope so. Maybe she was listening to me that silver and platinum bullshit is for the birds. I'm not here for it, but I bought it because I've always wanted a cowboy hat.

Speaker 1:

It just so happened cowboy Carter has become a thing and then I just so happen I'm also going to the concert, but you know not Beyonce, following your trend and had I not been going to, had I not been going to fiji, I would totally be going to vegas for her concert for my birthday, because it is literally yet again she's having a concert for me for my birthday. But she didn't decide.

Speaker 2:

She decided not to ask me about my plans before then you were supposed to dm her immediately that you're going to Fiji.

Speaker 1:

I mean she's so selfish.

Speaker 2:

Hey guys. So since you have a cowboy hat now we have to make another trip to Valle de Guadalupe. Yes, absolutely yeah, I'm all about it. Yes, uh, valle de guadalupe, mike, I don't know if you're familiar or not, but it's, uh, the wine country here in um, mexico.

Speaker 2:

It's like from where we live, from San Diego, it's about like an hour and a half, tina, because it's like inland but also like not maybe like 25 minutes from the beach as well. So you get like a nice, like ocean breeze, but you get like that country like open land feel, and there's a lot of vineyards, like beautiful vineyards, like they also sell a lot of vineyards, like beautiful vineyards, like like they also sell a lot of like tequila at at the. You know the vineyards and stuff like that. And we went I don't know if it was last year, the year or the year before and we had a whole vineyard to ourselves Wow.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, drunk All weekend Dancing in the middle of the vineyard having the time of our lives.

Speaker 2:

That's great. That sounds really dope. Yeah, it looks nice. Um, okay, so past or future, I, I think I would visit. I feel like I would visit my I don't know. I feel like I would visit my I don't know. I feel like I would visit my past and like adjust a couple things. Yeah. I'm too anxious to know what's going to happen in the future.

Speaker 2:

Anything in particular, anything you want to share yeah um, I'd probably you know um who I have kids with, honestly, if I'm being 100 transparent. Um, that's my answer. I just you know. This is something I tell people all the time, like who you have kids with is one of, if not the most important decision of your life. Like I cannot. I tell my brother this you know right now that he doesn't have kids. I tell my brother this you know right now that he doesn't have kids. I tell you know people. It's such an important decision, you know.

Speaker 1:

So the results for that were 60% said they would visit their past and 40% said they would visit their future, 60% said they would visit their past and 40% said they would visit the future.

Speaker 4:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I think that just ties into kind of that nostalgia conversation or people maybe wanting to fix mistakes and all those things, so that doesn't surprise me.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

When you say go back to a specific time, I thought about going back to being 30. Like if I could go back to being like 30, right when I realized like oh, I'm not, I'm not a kid, but also like I'm still young, and that was like a like a really hot girl year for me. 30, yeah, at 30 to 31, it was like really fun yeah what was you?

Speaker 1:

out here doing Mike tell us, tell us more.

Speaker 3:

I got out of my first relationship and I was just like just living life, like just really enjoying, like 30 yeah um, were you guys together for a very long time like four years.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, that's fine yeah wow, and so you was out there in the street you know, I was in the streets. I love that. I love it. What's our next question, Steph?

Speaker 2:

All right. So I think, also piggybacking on what I said, I would also want to go back to like like a spice girls concert, because I feel like that was such a like a cool, like a girl group, you know, and it's it was. It's rare that there's like a really successful like girl group that like stays together, you know, for a long period of time, like that um. So I think that would be kind of fun. I like the bubblegum shoes and the um, you know, the scrunchies and just all that stuff that comes with it the butterfly clips yeah I get that yeah, that'd be fun, you know, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So the next question was does social media do more harm or more good?

Speaker 1:

Oh, I didn't even see that question. What was the response for that one?

Speaker 3:

But, you have to say yours first and then I'll tell you that's a tough question. Um, yeah, that's a. That's a tough question because I I do see where it does harm. I also see like good in it.

Speaker 3:

Um, but if I have to choose one, I'm gonna say does more harm you want to elaborate like a little bit, maybe like a one example I think people get too caught up in chasing what they see, so like sometimes people are trying to be what they see on the internet and if they're not that they're like I think they become depressed. But then they're so stuck on the phone and it's like you're consumed by it but you don't know how to get out of it, so it's almost like a bad feedback loop a hamster wheel, yeah, yeah um, hmm, I think I'm gonna say the same thing.

Speaker 1:

It does more bad than good. Um, I, I can see where it does some good. For the most part, I think that you know I sit and watch people aimlessly scroll through social media on a daily basis and I see how people do sometimes chase after a certain type of appearance in order to appease social media or be a certain way on social media, be a certain way on social media. So you know, I, I can see where it could be you know, where it's not.

Speaker 2:

It's not that great for people and it's not good for a lot of people's mental health either yeah, I think I'm gonna agree with you guys on that one, because I just, um, yeah, there's just my mind goes to like the access that these predators have to kids and how trafficking can be so much easier, and access to like weapons, you know, at a, at a younger age, and just so many like the, you know the dark web, like just so many things that weren't a thing when we were like, yeah, we were out here doing dumb shit, but like we weren't putting it out for people to like. Like we weren't putting it out for people to like see, you know, and possibly affect our future, or like locate where we are, or, like you know, leak certain things, like pictures, or like just things like that.

Speaker 2:

You know like that's where that's a scary part for me, because it's so uncontrolled and it's's like it's crazy. Yeah, um, so I agree with that and the answer for that was 75 said harm and 25 said it does more good okay. So I think, we are kind of with the majority of the.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, shout out to the people that have hope for the internet.

Speaker 1:

I mean.

Speaker 4:

Right.

Speaker 2:

You know, Shout out to the people that see the glass half full. That's what they say, right.

Speaker 1:

That's what they say.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, All right. The next question is are you a morning person or a night owl?

Speaker 3:

Morning for me. I like and that's been since a kid Like I've always gotten up extra early. I'm always tired by like nine, ten o'clock and even like being on on the on the west coast now like shit, like eight o'clock is like 11 o'clock my time. I was up this morning at like four o'clock in the morning, but that's seven at home, so I just I just always get up early.

Speaker 1:

I am not a morning person.

Speaker 4:

At all.

Speaker 1:

At all. Don't even talk to me. I have nothing to say. But here's the thing though I used to have to work overnights, I also used to have to work very early in the morning at like, getting up at 3 am to be at work for 7. Up at 3 am to be at work for seven. So yeah, I think my morning riser personality is gone.

Speaker 2:

The opportunity has left um so I'm also more of a night owl. I am not a morning person. I have nothing to talk about at 7am. I don't give a fuck that the sun is shining. Thank you, god for another day, but let's just fuck. I wish I was asleep but, mike, you are with the majority I feel that 62 percent of people said that they are more, uh, morning people and three said uh, night owls. Three I mean sorry, 38%, sorry, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So 62% morning and 38% night owls now you can catch me on a good one, you could possibly catch me on a good one, and I'm like I'm staying up, like last night I probably could have stayed up late and you, I probably could have stayed up late and, um, you know, I could have finished fucking around and putting together my um, my lego set that I barely started, um, and I'm probably gonna end up doing that tonight. But but sometimes I'm just like I'm. Not only am I not a morning person, I'm also going to bed early.

Speaker 2:

I'll be in the bed person.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

That's funny. The next question is city life or small town life. So are you a city girl or a country girl?

Speaker 3:

I'm a city girl yeah, I think in this phase of my life, right now, I'm city city city.

Speaker 2:

I think I am a city girl, like at heart, but I feel like sometimes there's moments where I'm just like I wanna get the fuck in the field, in the middle of nowhere, like I don't wanna deal with people. You know like wanna be out in nature. I feel that the tourists in me, you know like it's going to be out in nature.

Speaker 1:

I feel that the tourists in me, I mean. But you can still have that in the city. I think. For me, if the grocery store is too far away, then I can't live there. That's fair, like if it's gonna take me 45 minutes just to get to the grocery store. I'm good, I can't go, I'm gonna stay right here. I wonder if like Amazon delivered, or like the grocery delivery people so now I gotta stay in the house and I can't got it understood.

Speaker 2:

I didn't help, so that was all of the poll questions. Um, I'm gonna go to the questions that people submitted to us.

Speaker 1:

Sorry, one sec and then just disappear while you're pulling that up, I was trying to see if you're watching this or watching this later. We were supposed to be live on Instagram and YouTube. So Riverside is so fantastic. I love it so much. It was allowing us to go live publicly on Riverside and then YouTube, but it also gives you an option to go live on a different platform. However, because I love Instagram so much it wouldn't let us go live on Instagram because Instagram was having its own issues that now, all of a sudden, we can go live on Instagram. So I just love these apps and technology.

Speaker 2:

Thank you for sharing. Share. Thank you for sharing.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for the thank you for the ted talk.

Speaker 2:

So, uh, the only like anonymous question that was asked was does stephan Stephanie have any updates for us on the dating scene? So I have seen somebody. Yeah, as like cringe as that is for me to answer, somehow that made it more cringe but thank you, Jada. No, we're good, we're good are you done?

Speaker 1:

okay, I'm done.

Speaker 2:

I'm done, got it tell us about it.

Speaker 2:

I feel like I'm in a space like we talked about in one in talked about in our other live episode of dating with intention. I feel like I was kind of doing that and approaching it that way. I've been seeing somebody for a couple months now. I've been seeing somebody for like a couple months now and it's like this whole like having feelings and like you know, maybe a future is like new to me. Um and um, yeah, um, I don't have, like I don't really have an interest like to be talking to anybody else or entertaining anything else. Um, you know, which is also new, um, so, yeah, we'll see where it goes we love that for you, friend, yeah it's about time.

Speaker 2:

I've been single for, um, I've been single for, I think, yeah, almost almost three years. Shit, it's been a while, yeah. So, um, yeah, like 10 and a half years, almost three years I've been single. Um, obviously, I've like had fun and like dated. You know we've talked about situationships and stuff like that, but I think I, since I haven't been drinking, you know, and I think, um, you know, and I did therapy and you know, like church and stuff like that, I feel like I've been in a space where I just wanted something more serious if I were to invest my time in somebody. So, you know, I just had to be worth it. I don't know if that sounds bad or not, but that's how I saw it, given I have so many other things I do on a daily basis.

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's been worth it so far.

Speaker 1:

Any other questions we want to ask each other? I don't know, that's hilarious.

Speaker 1:

well, okay, friends, so we then are gonna switch gears yeah, okay and yeah, okay, and we are gonna get into a little game called jeopardy who? We're gonna get into a game called jeopardy who wants to be a millionaire style. So if you listen to our last not our last episode, but I think two or three episodes ago, stephanie and I played Jeopardy virtually and we played it on one of the episodes. So we're going to do the same thing. The goal was to make sure that you know people can interact and you know all the things. But, however, technology is doing what it's doing, so you go back and watch it. We're going to have fun regardless. It's fine. So I'm going to share my screen and pull up the board. Let's see. There we go. All right, can you see my scrizzle? Yeah, all right. So I also want to be able to see y'all's face too. So let me do this. I'm going to. You can still see my the screen, right? Yeah, okay, perfect. So then let me do this.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna put you over here, I love the fact that my screen is 32 inches. Are you guys not going to laugh with me?

Speaker 4:

You know you got the joke, you know you got the joke.

Speaker 1:

You know, you got the joke. It's fine, you know what? Just leave me alone, we won't. You know who will laugh with me? Nope, wrong thing, they'll laugh with me, that's right thing, the people will laugh with me.

Speaker 1:

Um, okay, anyway, so let's. So now you can see my screen. So this is is who Wants to Be a Millionaire style. And the goal actually is that I figured I at first was like, oh, let's do, we could do teams. But since there's three of us, we'll do three teams and we'll all be on our own teams, so we'll keep track of the points for each of us. So do we? Do you want me to just put your names for each one, or do you want to put an alias for your team?

Speaker 3:

I'm trying to think of an alias if I use one of an alias if I use one.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to take team two, or actually I'm going to go three, since we're kind of in order. Mike is first down here at the bottom, stephanie's next and then me, so I'm going to put my name.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 2:

Notting Hill.

Speaker 1:

What Is Nothing Hill or?

Speaker 4:

Notting Hill.

Speaker 1:

That's not what I actually theory. Okay, that's not what I actually. Okay, mike, it's back to you.

Speaker 3:

Let's go. Reality TV 200. Okay, this singing competition Was cancelled in 2015 After 15 seasons and later got rebooted. This singing competition was cancelled in 2015 after 15 seasons and later got rebooted. What is American Idol?

Speaker 1:

I didn't know. It was cancelled in 2015. Good job, you go.

Speaker 2:

Yes you go, glen Coco, applause, applause applause, applause, applause.

Speaker 1:

You go. Glen Coco, I didn't know. American Idol got canceled in 2015. Why did it get canceled?

Speaker 3:

I don't know. I felt like it went off for a while and then, when it came back, I think it might have came back with Mariah Carey and Nicki right.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you're right, that is when it came back with them, that's hilarious, I didn't even okay. Alright, stephanie, you're next.

Speaker 2:

I'll do Pop Culture for $200.

Speaker 1:

What are the names of Kim Kardashian West's?

Speaker 2:

kids Northwest St West Chicago. I think that's it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Oh, Tom the baby, Mm-hmm. Well, you can have it, Stephanie.

Speaker 4:

That's, you know, the baby Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Well, you can have it, Stephanie, that's you know. Shout out to your favorite.

Speaker 2:

Kanye? I don't know. I'm having second guesses for the first time in my life on Kanye right now.

Speaker 3:

I was just about to ask you how are you feeling about the stuff he's saying right now?

Speaker 2:

How do I feel? I don't think that he should have said that at all.

Speaker 1:

Does anybody want to refresh my memory?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so here. Yeah so here. So, first of all, he had Northwest do a song, and I think Diddy is featured in it, and then he came out and disclosed that allegedly Beyonce's twins or her younger children, I don't know um that. They are special needs yeah, but that there's special needs and that they were. They were how do you say it in english? Like Like artificial insemination.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Like that's how they were conceived.

Speaker 3:

And he used the old school word for special needs. He used the R word Wow, yeah. He also said that Kim Kardashian is sex trafficking her kids.

Speaker 1:

No, he didn't Her His kids, yeah, his kids?

Speaker 3:

No, he didn't. His kids, yeah, his kids. He said the Kardashians sex traffic all their Black kids in the family. Wow, yeah, it was bad.

Speaker 4:

Well, I think he's off the map.

Speaker 3:

I think it was.

Speaker 1:

Santo.

Speaker 3:

Giselle, I think it was the album rollout. He just put out an album. It just all seemed like it's boring.

Speaker 1:

Yes, it's like low-hanging fruit. You pulled at something that you knew would get people to r round up or to say something. And what album is he releasing right now or trying to release?

Speaker 3:

Some album called Bully. I haven't listened to it but I don't have plans on listening to it. But he put out an album called Bully.

Speaker 2:

I haven't heard it yet. I can't say I won't be listening to it. I might just Curiosity, you know, but yeah, I haven't heard it. I also don't agree with using that word. I don't like that word at all. I don't like that word at all. Him saying she's sex trafficking but then having the daughter on a song with Diddy, given his allegations right now, it's like. Yeah, questionable.

Speaker 1:

I mean to say the least.

Speaker 4:

Mm-hmm, okay, well, I I mean to say the least.

Speaker 1:

Okay, well, let's move on to what am I going to do? I think I'm going to try random or 600. This is the diameter of a basketball hoop. I don't know that one, okay. So, first and foremost, diameter itself means One to one or one to the next Across the middle. Yeah, okay, so David.

Speaker 4:

David.

Speaker 1:

I think I'm gonna use the lifeline. I'm gonna use my google meter for this one. Let's see, I've never even thought of this. I'm going to use my Google meter for this one. Let's see, I've never even thought of this. Why is this even a question?

Speaker 3:

Do you think it's in? I almost want to say between 18 and 21. That's what I'm guessing.

Speaker 1:

Mike, you are very good at this stuff because I got it right.

Speaker 4:

It'm guessing, mike, you are very good at this stuff. I got it right.

Speaker 1:

It's 18. Oh wow, 18 inches. Yeah, yeah, because you got to think like the ball is like a size of a, you know, bigger than a ruler.

Speaker 3:

That's what. I was kind of thinking about the size of the ball.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. I was thinking about that too, but I don't know how big they are.

Speaker 2:

They have to have big-ass hands, huh, because that 18-inch across. So the ball's probably what 16 inches yeah.

Speaker 4:

I think it's around there.

Speaker 2:

So they have to have big-ass hands.

Speaker 1:

From that middle finger down to the palm, my brother could hold a basketball in one hand. Yeah, anyway, I got 600 points. Okay, who's next?

Speaker 3:

It gets back on me. Yeah, wait, who has the s? They get it back on me.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, wait, who has the sirens? I'm curious.

Speaker 3:

That might be me.

Speaker 2:

Welcome to LA, mike Right right, that's hilarious. That's funny.

Speaker 3:

Let's go. Reality TV 400.

Speaker 4:

Okay, that's funny let's go.

Speaker 2:

Reality tv 400. Oh, I know what this is. Oh fuck. Should we read the question?

Speaker 1:

oh sorry. Four chefs prepare a three-course meal using unlikely ingredients from a mystery basket, with one chef eliminating each course. In what Food Network reality TV show, damn.

Speaker 3:

Is this a show with Gordon Ramsay?

Speaker 1:

I think he's been on an episode Gordon Ramsay, the white guy with the glasses. Ramsey I think he's been on an episode or Gordon Ramsey, the white guy with the glasses.

Speaker 3:

I feel like he's the one that yells at people.

Speaker 1:

No wrong show.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to say Chef Ward.

Speaker 2:

You just made that up is it, chef?

Speaker 1:

no he just yeah, you definitely made that up I can't think of what it is.

Speaker 3:

I I feel like I've probably seen this show before, but I can't think of what it's called you have lifelines the show before you have lif. I'll take a hit.

Speaker 1:

Yes, oh, I'll give you a hint. So it's a four-letter word. The first letter of the word is C. The last letter of the word is ends with a P, or actually a P, or actually a D.

Speaker 2:

Dana, you gave him the wrong answer.

Speaker 1:

I'm so sorry. Alright, so first letter of the word starts with a, c. It is a, it's a. It's a seven letter word.

Speaker 2:

What's in the cup?

Speaker 1:

I'm not drinking anything. I'm not even drinking. It ends with a D.

Speaker 2:

It's a seven letter word.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

It starts with a C.

Speaker 1:

The only reason it's seven letters is because it ends with E-D.

Speaker 3:

That's what I was thinking. Let's see.

Speaker 2:

Is it doing this?

Speaker 1:

Yes, it's doing that. What's the motion this? Yes, it's doing that. What's the motion? Chop?

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

You're welcome, we'll let you have that. I appreciate that. Yes, what is Chopped I love Chopped. I appreciate that. Yes, what is Chopped, I love Chopped. I think, to this day, chopped is one of the only other cooking shows that I would actually, if I ever had an opportunity, would go and cook on the other one is the supermarket sleep, one that they have.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's a cool one. I don't even think they do it anymore. If they do, I've never, I don't. Well, I mean, we don't. Also don't watch real TV anymore. We watch everything on like apps and shit girl shoes are also super expensive yeah, and then there's that. Alright, stephanie, you're up um, hmm, alright.

Speaker 2:

Stephanie, you're up, I'll do movie quotes for 400.

Speaker 1:

Movie quotes for 400.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

Speaker 4:

I don't fucking know where this is from.

Speaker 2:

Definitely this was said by a white man.

Speaker 4:

I have an idea, but I don't know if it's right.

Speaker 1:

That's my sweetheart in there. Wherever she is, that's where my home.

Speaker 3:

I don't know. I don't know why I feel like Tom Hanks said this in something, or Tim Allen or something or Robin Williams.

Speaker 2:

No, I am right, my guess is right, or Tim Allen or something, or Robin Williams. No, no, I am right. My guess is right.

Speaker 1:

Really.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, think, oh wait, I can't give you a hint. Wait, are you not answering it?

Speaker 1:

No, I don't think I'm going to. What do you think it is the notebook, really? No, I don't think I'm going to?

Speaker 2:

what do you think it is the notebook? Really yeah, because this is one of my favorite movies, because when she's in the, in the, the, well, I guess it's technically their house. But when she started losing her mental state of mind at the end of the movie like I think that was what he was saying, yeah, I think you're right now.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

This is how many stars I can use a Google search. That was another, or do I only get one lifeline?

Speaker 1:

No, you get three. So we gave you a hint you can do a Google search and then you can phone a friend. So you only have phone a friend and Google search left.

Speaker 3:

Actually, I'm going to skip this one? I'll skip, are you yeah?

Speaker 1:

It's the sun.

Speaker 3:

Speaker 1:

It sounds familiar. Well, here I'm going to google it for you. I think I know I have an idea, but I'm not sure if it's right okay so you want a hint or what you want to do alright. Speaker 1:

Oh, this is the busiest airport in the world. Hint Blank, it is in the USA. Hint Blank, it is in the USA. The busiest airport in the world. It has to be JFK right.

Speaker 3:

That's what I was going to say. World, it has to be JFK, right? That's what I was gonna say either LAX or JFK this is the busiest airport in the world New York, new York.

Speaker 1:

What are the odds that it's LAX?

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

I think there's a lot of neighbors there, isn't there? I don't know, though I have no idea.

Speaker 3:

I think you're right with JFK, though I think you're right with JFK, though I hope you're right with JFK let's go with it.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna go. What is JFK Atlanta?

Speaker 3:

Speaker 1:

The girlies love them. Some ATL honey shout out to them.

Speaker 3:

That's hilarious, alright. Mike, this is your last one what national holiday is celebrated in all countries? I'm gonna say Christmas. What is Christmas?

Speaker 1:

alright. Is that your final answer?

Speaker 3:

yes, shit. And after I said it, I knew that was it. I knew that was it alright, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 1:

well, wrapping up this session, we have 3000 for Hollywood, 3,000 for Stephanie.

Speaker 2:

And we have 1,400. Well, that was fun, that was cute.

Speaker 1:

So I have a pitch, so we can now go live on Instagram. What would you all say to if we stopped going live on YouTube and switched over to Instagram for a couple of minutes? I don't know, do you have the time?

Speaker 4:

do you have the?

Speaker 1:

yeah, I just need to get some lighting on no worries, so let's take a pause. Thank you all who came to hang out with us on YouTube. We'll be right back, just give a couple of moments. So, brb, hey y'all, if you like what you heard, make sure you join the conversation. We always say to make sure to like, comment and subscribe, and we definitely want you to do that, but also we would love if you would join in with us.

Speaker 1:

There's a link in the description where you can actually send us messages. You can also make sure to tag us on social media. Put up your favorite clips of the show and then tag us and we will repost them on our stories. That is the best way to get in communication or community with us and we would love to see y'all interact with the content with us, and we would love to see y'all interact with the content. Anyway, thank you for following us and thank you for listening and we'll see you back for the remainder of the show. Bye, we're back. Hey y'all. Um, alright, so we can treat this as like the after show I guess, the after show of the show um, over technology and the things. So how's everyone doing for our Instagram folks out there that have joined us and for our YouTube folks that came back. Let's give a little check-in for everybody that's probably now actually here to interact and watch us. What y'all doing, what y'all doing, how y'all doing what's going on Happy Thursday.

Speaker 2:

Happy Mercury Retrograde, yeah yeah. So I mean we kind of went over it already for me on our you know earlier in the episode and on our YouTube live. But I hope everybody's staying healthy. I know the flu is going around. I had it last week. Make sure you're taking your vitamins and all the things, staying hydrated. And yeah, I, just in regards to me, I've just been you know Taking your magnesium. Yeah, all the things Multi-vitamin.

Speaker 1:

We've been having a lot of conversations about magnesium in this here household because our good, my good, good husband can't seem to stay asleep all night, so we've been thinking he's lacking magnesium and he also keeps having like these headaches and stuff.

Speaker 2:

so I recommend it part of me thinks it's all the marijuana well you know how, like for my dad, his doctor did say like magnesium is really good, like for headaches and like brain function and stuff like that, it has a really a lot of good, like positive effects. I take it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean I want to. It's always good to take your vitamins. I'm at that point where I'm thinking about starting to take like at least like a one a day, every so often You're not taking vitamins.

Speaker 2:

So then, I can not currently.

Speaker 1:

I haven't needed to, but or I haven't thought I needed to. I guess the statement is but I think we're at that age to where it's time to start making sure we take some vitamins around her.

Speaker 2:

I've been taking vitamins for years. I give my kids vitamins too, because my son Warren like very active and very hyperactive and stuff sometimes I'll do like the magnesium gummies for kids at night because it does also help with like focusing and stuff like that so it's a good option, like for kids that have a lot of energy or sometimes are so energetic they can't focus, and stuff like that. It helps with that.

Speaker 3:

And it's more like a nighttime vitamin.

Speaker 2:

Well, it helps your brain calm and stay in a calmer state and not overthinking and stuff. So I take mine at night as well, just um, because it does help unwind and relax it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah it's supposed to essentially help you, uh, get into that calming mode, that ready to take your ass to bed mode. Essentially is what it's supposed to help with.

Speaker 2:

But you know, the vitamin D that we were talking about.

Speaker 1:

It's a good vitamin to have and to take and it's good to make sure that you take care of your body. So, anyway, we're going to play another round of Jeopardy. Hollywood won the last round and I'm trying to come back with a vengeance, so I'm looking to make back with a vengeance, so I'm looking to make sure that I win this round. So shall we get into it? So this one is our different categories. We have actors. Actually, in this one you have actors, movie quotes, reality TV and throwback, and then Grammy winners on this one. So I'm going to be looking to you, mike, to kind of crush this Grammy winners one, because I feel like this is right up your alley. Let's see, I'm going to try my best, alright, so I again am going to move y'all over to this side. I'm going to close all these other windows. Let me make sure we're not live on that one. We're live on that one. I'm going to go ahead and share my screen.

Speaker 1:

We're going to get this popping All right. So let's make sure that the transition over here. There we go. Now it's popping up, all right. So are we going to go with the same names as we went with the last time, or what are we doing? Y'all want to change it up for the folks on the Instagram.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to go with the same name.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you're going to go with the same name. Stephanie, are you going to go with the same name?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Did she say yes?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I did.

Speaker 1:

She was frozen. Yes, oh, okay.

Speaker 2:

Am I free to move on All?

Speaker 1:

right, so here we go. So we have Hollywood, so here we go, so we have Hollywood.

Speaker 1:

We have Stephanie, and we have I didn't feel like typing at all, so there we are. Alright, welcome to another round of Jeopardy. Who wants to be a millionaire style? All right, so, once again, the rules are this. So you can you have three lifelines. You can phone a friend, you can Google and we can give you a hint. So that means that we can Google it for you and find the correct answer and we'll give you a hint on what the answer could possibly be. All right, are we ready to go? Yeah, all right, I'm going to go. Yeah, all right, I'm going to start with myself, because we can go backwards, so I'm going to go first. So I'm going to start with Actors for 300.

Speaker 1:

All right, this comedic actress passed away in 2021, exactly two weeks before her 100th birthday. Comedic actress. Comedic actress. That was 100? Was it Eartha Kitt? Who was Eartha Kitt?
