And I'm Stephanie.

Speaker 1:

And we are your host. Welcome to spooky season. Officially, it is officially October. Officially, it is officially October. The girlies are officially wounding up their Halloween costumes and their looks for the season. And we out here, and we about to be doing the damn thing. Stephanie has been out here in the streets for the last two weekends. Girl, what's been going on?

Speaker 2:

um, I've been good, but, um, I went to the I think I don't know where I went friday, but saturday I went to the grupopo Firme concert and that was fun. So I wore my cowboy hat and boots and my little belt and everything, my flare jeans and yeah, it was a good time. Um, I didn't drink but I still had fun, like dancing and everything, I feel like. Towards the middle of the concert, um, they started playing a little bit more of like their newer music and I feel like it kind of not too many people know their newer music. I don't think is what I kind of caught on to and I'm not really familiar with their newer music. So the middle was kind of like calmer and then at the end they started bringing out guests, like back to back. They brought out like this, he's El Mimoso, which which he's very well known. He's like an older, like very famous, very good artist, and they started downing the bottle of Bucanas and then they started downing the bottle of tequila after every song.

Speaker 1:

What's Bucanas?

Speaker 2:

Bucanas is. I think it's a rum.

Speaker 1:

Is it the green one?

Speaker 2:

The green one. It's green. Let me pull up a picture of the bottle. Let me pull up a picture of the bottle. But they have like a regular flavor, or they have. They have like a pineapple and regular. Ok but Bucanas is very like, it's just, it's a blended scotch whiskey. Oh, ok, it's a blended scotch whiskey.

Speaker 1:

Let me just see that, oh, okay.

Speaker 2:

It's like a green. I'm sure you've seen it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So they were like chugging that beers, like the drummer, like everybody was on there just like downing it and they would like start singing shot, shot, shot, shot and then, um, it was cool. They're like shotgunning beers up there and it was, it was cool so Cora was there oh yeah uh-huh yeah, and at the end they started playing all their classics and they were already like faded and then they brought out that guy, so it was like a whole. It set it off for sure.

Speaker 1:

But that sounds like fun. It looks fun. Yeah, it was definitely a good time.

Speaker 2:

And then Sunday. I don't know what I did Sunday, I don't remember, but I don't remember. But I don't know what I did Sunday. I don't remember, but the Padres won and they're going to LA this weekend she's thinking she has to go no, yeah right, the tickets are so expensive, like nosebleeds are like $200 oh my god for these games.

Speaker 2:

So now over there they're probably. Tickets are so expensive, like nosebleeds are like 200, oh my god. Well, they were so for this game, these games. So now over there they're probably even more because they're higher up um, that's crazy.

Speaker 1:

I did see that they won shout out to. The padres are in the playoffs, they are doing their thing, um, and out here shutting it down did you see?

Speaker 2:

did you see Tatis and Machado? Did you see clips of it or no? Like after them celebrating, oh friend oh friend what was going on was the boys giving yes, they were all taking off their shirts and they had their chains and they were chugging beers and they were just gaming 100%.

Speaker 1:

Do you know?

Speaker 2:

who Tatis is.

Speaker 1:

No, I'm sure he's cute though.

Speaker 2:

He's Dominican, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Is that the one with the dreads?

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's the one I like.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's the one that ripped off his shirt. Then they always make fun of him. They say he has a BBL because he has a big butt.

Speaker 1:

He does, he got a nice booty.

Speaker 2:

He's the one that took off his shirt and was like running around and stuff.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, he is the cute one.

Speaker 2:

I think Machado's cute. Of course, I would think that.

Speaker 1:

I think I need to look these people up because I have no idea who they are. Look up Manny Machado. Google Manny Machado.

Speaker 2:

You're going to say, yeah, here we go.

Speaker 1:

So annoying I can't. I mean, oh my god, you have such a fucking type. It gets on my nerves I can't. But he is cute. Well, that sounds like fun. I mean, it's definitely cooling down. So we're definitely in that season to where it's time to, you know, start moving around a little bit, go and experience things. You know they say this is the time to go and start cuffing up.

Speaker 2:

That's what I was going to say. Cuffing season.

Speaker 1:

It's cuffing season, it's coughing season. How?

Speaker 2:

was your weekend.

Speaker 1:

My weekend was good. I just I had a three-day weekend. I tried to relax. I did some cleaning around the house. I stayed in the house, stayed low-key. Did some cleaning around the house. I stayed in the house, stayed low-key, did some homework. I've been watching a lot of TV over the last few days. It's a lot of stuff that's come back. Housewives of New York came back the other day. Agatha all along on Disney Plus is back. It's a new show with about agatha harkness and the witches in her coven, um, which stems from the um scarlet witch uh show that was on disney plus for a while. Um, so I've been watching that. I've also been watching Selling Sunset Is Back on Netflix. What else have I been watching? Have you been seeing I'm sure you've probably seen it, but those dating shows with the balloons?

Speaker 2:

Yes, like pop the balloon, they're so messy. I love it though.

Speaker 1:

It's just so. Yesterday I found myself, I was like watching. I watched like three or four different ones, but I watched the ones for the homosexuals, the queer community. I've seen those. Oh my God, I mean, and they're the worst, I mean.

Speaker 2:

I just, oh, yeah, I would imagine.

Speaker 1:

It's just like For me. I'm like, as soon as a person walks out, it's like everybody, and it's like everybody balloons and it's like for it's like why y'all gotta be so shady, or why why just get to know in here with the person, the man?

Speaker 1:

is saying like and it's so funny Cause the ones that I watch every time. You know they're like. You know we like, you know we could be friends like. I see us being more like friends and the the host is like. This is a show about finding love like I'm not sure if that's clear.

Speaker 2:

Like I.

Speaker 1:

I don't know how we have changed the what the show is for and now we're talking about friendship. No, you're supposed to be here to be talking about finding love right and you're talking about. You know we could be friends. Are you interested? Are you not interested? Right or you know, I like to date a pretty bitch and you know I rather a man that's more pretty than handsome. And trying to break down the difference between pretty and handsome, and I'm like what is the reason? This. This lets me know.

Speaker 2:

This is why I'm happy I'm not single, because the bullshit that is in the air these days, but that has always been there, is just not for me right um I saw one today that was like uh, it was a, uh, a woman and she came out, she was thicker and you know a lot of the men like popped it or whatever did you hear me burp?

Speaker 2:

no, and one of the men. I was laughing because of what he said. One of the men was they're like, oh, why did you pop your balloon? And then he's like it's the tattoos. And then she's like, excuse me. And then he's like, yeah, you know, like it's the tattoos. And you know, I want to have fun with somebody and I don't see myself having fun with you.

Speaker 1:

Because of her tattoos.

Speaker 2:

And I was like I'm so confused. Usually tattooed people are more like I don't know. And then so the guy that didn't pop, she went over to him and then they asked each other, like do you have kids? And she's deal breaker. And then he's like yes, especially three. And then she's like that's fine. And then you know how she always asks are they your type? She always says like, are they your type? So then, um, she told the woman is he like your type? Is somebody you would go for anyways? And then she goes no, and then she goes okay, like is it his outfit? Like what is it?

Speaker 2:

and then she's like the way he looks that's right bitch, shade him yes and then the other guy was like, yeah, she's just a little too overweight for me. And I was like, oh my god, these men are like. That's not a gentleman like you could not. You could just say she's just not my type. Like physically I don't feel a connection right, or something like that. Like you don't need to tell her that on a public platform no, I, 100 I.

Speaker 1:

But I do feel like like, even in the ones that I was watching yesterday, uh, the host kept baiting the guy to say, just because it was a one of the ones that I watched had a more heavier set black guy on there, um, and you know he, he looked like he was a bigger boy, he looked a little hippie, um, and so the guy himself was like you know he, at first he looked bigger, but then when they showed him, he looks like, you know, he's just like a regular, regular dude.

Speaker 1:

Yeah like stocky or something like stocky um, and you know them, niggas from texas, they always you know corn, they eat good um, so, so he was. So the host was like what about him? That are you unattracted, like you know. How's he unattracted?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, she asks yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and he was like well, you know it's, I just usually like a guy that's a little bit more fit, um, and he was like. And then the guy was like and I'm not. I was like there's a way that you can say things about what you're attracted to and you you don't have to make it weird Like we are all adults.

Speaker 1:

No one's taking anything any certain type of way. As long as you don't make it weird, it'd be fine, right, and you know it's just. It's an interesting dynamic of how of dating. You know, I applaud people if they can go on and do that. I don't know that I could do anything like that now. I could host a show, I would be down to host one. But here's my thing about this, right, because some of them I see the same dudes, um, but I'm like, are you vetting any of these people? Like, are you asking any questions to make sure they're actually serious about, you know, dating or being in a relationship? Because some of them, I just was like none of y'all are actually interested in being in a relationship.

Speaker 2:

Now, there was only one that had multiple connections, but the rest of them I was like this is stupid yeah, a lot of them seem like they just want like hookups or like they go on there specifically to shade or I don't know. Like yeah and I don't know that I would personally go on something like a show or something like that. Um, like, I feel like the only thing I might try, like just for content um would be maybe like speed dating oh yeah, speed dating would be fun, yeah because it's like it's quick, it's like I don't have to get too vulnerable to you know, and it's not like all at once.

Speaker 2:

Um. So I mean, I would do something like that just for like content or something, or just for fun, I guess yeah, I mean that could be fun.

Speaker 1:

Speed dating has always been something and it's coming back because they said the Gen Zers are interested in speed dating because they feel like the apps are not conducive to a healthy dating atmosphere.

Speaker 2:

And it's almost like the apps in real life Because you know it's like you're on it for like a short period of time. You look through, read swipe left or right, so you can it's like a similar in-person like concept, I feel like yes, yeah, um, what else so?

Speaker 1:

and then, um, like I said, I've been watching sun and sunset, which you know is one of my shows. It's suit, it's real good. This season, a lot of drama. Um, one of the girls is having marriage issues. Um, her husband was caught at the w down in hollywood um kissing some girl. And uh, another chick on the show her, one of her friends is the one who brought it to the show. Huh, what'd you say?

Speaker 2:

who caught? Who caught him um kissing the girl um.

Speaker 1:

so I don't know if you've seen it, but brie is one of the girls from the show, actually that's nick hannah's uh, baby mama, um, and he has another real estate friend named Amanda who had briefly came onto the show last season and one of her, amanda's friends, caught a guy, caught Chelsea's husband, at the WN West Hollywood and was making out with some girl in the lobby, and you know, then he and so he texts Amanda.

Speaker 1:

Amanda then, I guess, tells a Brie that she's recording on X date and Brie had no idea that she was going to be bringing this tea up. However, paris told me because you know, he always on the fucking TikTok that Chelsea knew about this prior to it coming to the show, so she had already known that it was happening and she knew the producers knew about it before it, even, obviously, before it even aired to us. So I don't know, right now they're making it, this drama between, uh, chelsea and brie which make is making their relationship worse that they were trying to build, because the first season brie was on there. Chelsea was hell-bent on giving brie a hard time, um, because of how she chose to have a child, um, which was with nick cannon. Um, so you know, I just for me. I'm here for the houses in the fashion like they just had the most, the most chic um dog funeral.

Speaker 1:

On this last episode I just watched because their dog passed away and I was like this is everything oh my gosh. I'm like I'm not really here for the drama, like the drama is very granular to me and it's like I'm like if y'all just don't calm the fuck down like, is she gonna leave this man? Probably not right like you know, I did see that she did get a new apartment or a new house. She posted on Instagram the other day. So I'm pretty sure that story will come up in the next season.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what are you sipping on, friend?

Speaker 1:

Bubbly, I'm still not drinking.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's right. How's that going?

Speaker 1:

It's going good. I mean, the debate was the other night so had a couple glasses of wine, the other night. Okay, um, but other than that, I haven't been drinking. Um, it's been going good. It's october 3rd. I have two more. I think I have two more weeks left, or three more weeks left.

Speaker 2:

Two more weeks left two weeks we're on vacation yes, two weeks.

Speaker 1:

We're on vacation, honey, I we, yeah, next week and then all the way up until Thursday of the following week. I cannot wait yes, I guess that means we would be on a break, huh? I guess we should say that Awkward, just so y'all know.

Speaker 2:

Unless we record like on, like a Tuesday or something before that, before we leave.

Speaker 1:

Okay, leave. Okay, yeah, we'll talk about it. Yeah, um, oh yeah, because we can record like that weekend if we want and then get back to it anyway. Um. So yeah, it's just, you know, I've been trying to keep a low key. You know, doing homework, trying to keep up with that, that's been a little bit of a challenge. I dropped this class today because it was terrible and I was just not interested. I was like this material which class Humanities. Mm, it just was like, and it was this.

Speaker 2:

Don't look, keep going.

Speaker 1:

It was just this older white woman. She was getting on my nerves and like the professor or in the class the professor and like again. And it's interesting because I was listening to one of my favorite shows, the getting grown I mean not getting grown friends on Podcast today.

Speaker 1:

And they were talking about AI and if you listened to the last episode, I was talking about how AI people use a lot of things, use AI for a lot of things. They use it for homework, they use it to help them study, they use it for whatever the fuck they're doing that they need a little extra assistance with. You know that's what the fuck it's for. So they had a very good conversation about AI and all of that stuff. However, my point is that she is very a lot of the teachers are very strict on using AI for your homework, especially if you're just copying and pasting it into what you're doing. And it just was frustrating to me and she tried to tell me that one of my assignments had AI in it.

Speaker 1:

And I'm like girl, first of all, I sat here and wrote this paper or wrote this little response, and she's like I recognize some of the sentences and I'm like I'm sure you do recognize some of the sentences because actually tiffany just wrote about the same fucking thing, like don't come for me. And then also it just I the last time I took like archaeology and like ancient egypt artifacts. I just was like this is the most boring shit I've ever learned about in my life and that's essentially what humanities is, and I just was like I'm not interested in this. And then it was like these random assignments that was coming up that I missed somehow, and I just was like you know what I'm out of here. I got to go, so I dropped it. Cheers to me. I chose me today. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I love that for you, friend.

Speaker 1:

You know, I have an English class that I'm in honors with on, and I have a comms class that I'm doing well in, so I don't fucking need this humanities class right now. And then do my creative writing, and then do my black studies and, I think, chemistry, which are all subjects that I actually like you like chemistry yeah, I do well in chemistry.

Speaker 2:

I love that for you. I love creative writing. I love that.

Speaker 1:

Um okay, bill nye you know, yeah, no, you're gonna be the black bill nye. No, girl, I'm gonna be a writer, that's where I'm headed. Um, so, yeah, I think I'm gonna do, and then I'm gonna do a couple of journalism classes. You know, I think that I help with the show. You know, they have a digital journalism and a journalism class that I think I'm gonna take.

Speaker 2:

I wonder if they offer free classes of that, like on other platforms.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm sure you can find them. I'm sure you can find a fucking seminar on YouTube.

Speaker 2:

Maybe through yeah, that's true, or like on um. Linkedin uh-huh, or like City College, like a, like a online class of that yep, I'm sure you can.

Speaker 1:

I'm sure you can find it. Well, I guess we will get into today's conversation and we'll take a small little pause and we'll be right back. Bye.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

And we are back. So, in lieu of spooky season, we're going to talk about scary movies and horror flicks. Um, I think that would be a good little topic for today and something to just get into talk about our favorite ones, or, I guess, what we really find defined as like a horror flick or like a scary movie. Um, it took me a while to even start to really like horror films or scary movies, or to, you know, find ones that interest me or ones that I liked. But what do you? Do you like a horror movie or do you like scary movies? Are those your jizz?

Speaker 2:

no, uh like I'll watch them and once in a while one will spark my interest, but I feel like I get really scared and it fucks with me, like when I want to go to sleep. I can't sleep oh my god yeah like I have to watch something uh funny after. Like I don't get nightmares but I'll like I can't fall asleep so what do you consider scary like?

Speaker 2:

okay, so I'm the ones that really mess with me, like the ones that I find really like, like authentically, like scary is, like the exorcism, like like, oh yeah, like that demonic shit, like that new one that came out like I will not watch that what you won't watch the deliverance uh-huh, is that the one on netflix with the about the demons and stuff? Yes, yes, I yes yes, I don't fuck with that.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God, Stephanie.

Speaker 2:

It's not that bad.

Speaker 1:

No, it's actually not that bad. It's actually pretty. It's a I mean pretty good, as we're all relative, but it's, it's not. I don't know. I didn't find it that scary, I found I feel like.

Speaker 2:

I believe in all that stuff.

Speaker 1:

So I'm like I'm good I mean, I believe in demons, you know, I, I believe that, you know, sometimes shit get crept up in you and you just don't know how to fucking act. And, um, I do, and it's sometimes evil.

Speaker 2:

I do believe it.

Speaker 1:

I believe that to be true hey, they're all possessed.

Speaker 2:

And Dana's like can you fucking get it together, karen?

Speaker 1:

please, please, pull it together. They're just commoting on the bed and you're like girl you need to go and shower or something like what's happening, like let's get some holy water up in here, some, and shower or something Like what's happening, like let's get some holy water up in here, some, miracle oil or something I don't know Like mm-mm.

Speaker 2:

My brother in Christ.

Speaker 1:

My brother in Christ. You know, jesus, take the wheel. I mean I do like I don't mind the exorcist, it doesn't. It's not very scary to me. I like like insidious, like the very first insidious was is like gold. Um, also, what was the other one? When I was younger, poltergeist was a little eerie and scary. But as I got older, obviously it wasn't as scary as I thought. But when I was younger, yes, poltergeist was pretty scary.

Speaker 1:

My favorite part was the football part uh where they were in the house and she had and they she slid across the floor um and then I think but things that really I find like scary are like those eerie mysteries and it's like um, especially like documentaries like that are about like eerie, like things, and you know, sometimes I can get goosebumps like I don't know.

Speaker 1:

If I told you when I stayed up all night one night watching the documentary about I think it was like flight 171, 47 or something the one that like flew over korea or something like that from a long time ago it was a while ago, um and then they've never found the airplane and they said they lost it. It's on Netflix, but that type of shit, that shit, that's the shit that really get me, cause it's like I know it's real.

Speaker 2:

And, and they be talking about some real shit, you know which? One freaked me out when I was like a younger kid. I've never been able to rewatch. It is the Blair Witch, the Blair Witch Project. Yeah, I think I was like eight or ten when I saw it and like that shit traumatized me.

Speaker 1:

I mean, yeah, the Blair Witch Project is pretty scary.

Speaker 2:

It is.

Speaker 1:

I don't think I've watched it, even to this day.

Speaker 2:

It's like it's very realistic.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Like you said, that's what makes it like so creepy. Yeah, and then they made a second one, right.

Speaker 1:

Some of the other ones that usually like, so also some good ones for like which is? It's on TV right now Nightmare on Elm Street.

Speaker 2:

The Freddy Krueger one.

Speaker 1:

That old one from the 80s used to get me still sometimes to this day. It's a little creepy. It is Even the Boogeyman oh, that's yeah.

Speaker 2:

I think freddy krueger is like scary for me because it's like a mind, a mind thing yes, yes um which one's your favorite?

Speaker 1:

like favorite scary movie insidious um no, like all-time favorite, all-time favorite. So so scary movie um this, like scream are all I love the scream franchise oh yeah and to me they're not necessarily scary, they're more gory than scary. And I think that's a difference between, like you know what, I guess I don't, I guess I don't you know understanding what's in the horror genre.

Speaker 2:

Is it?

Speaker 1:

like you know scare, like you know what makes you jump, or you know like the gore and the guts and blood. But I do like Scream, like scream. Scream has been an all-time favorite of mine. The entire franchise has always been pretty good for me yeah what about you?

Speaker 2:

I do like the original scream. I feel like, um, texas chainsawaw is always like fucking scary because, like chasing me, like that anxiety is like oh no. And then Freddie versus Jason was pretty good. I've always been afraid of that hockey mask Like. Even if people in real life wear it, I don't like it. It freaks me out. I've always been afraid of that.

Speaker 1:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre scares the fuck out of me every time. It never fails. I'm always creeped out, I'm always. I literally get goosebumps. Every time I've tried to watch the show, like I find myself having to look away and even especially at the end, when they show the real footage of when they actually found them in the house, like, oh, that takes me out every time.

Speaker 2:

And I hate it when like like if you ever go to the haunted mazes or like amusement parks or whatever like just that chainsaw, like noise oh like the one at baboa, yes, yes, or like I've gone to like not scary farm, or like the one in um del mar haunted hotel. I almost peed myself and I like at at the end, like the chainsaw guy comes out and you have to like run up these stairs and I fell. I fell and I just like freaked out.

Speaker 2:

I was I never won when is this In downtown, the Haunted Hotel.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, I've never been there. I've been to the one in Balboa.

Speaker 2:

I've been to the one in Balboa. Yeah, haunted hotels inside and it's like on the bottom floor, like underneath, like underground I guess you could say so it's like claustrophobic.

Speaker 1:

I was like fuck no that would scare the shit out of me it was really scary what other one. And then Michael Myers is another one too. He's creepy too, because of the white face and the hair.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

And yeah the big machete. The big machete. And then he's like super big, super tall. He's always been weird. And then there's like like a bunch of other ones.

Speaker 2:

Do you think Chucky's scary?

Speaker 1:

I don't think Chucky's scary, more than I think Chucky is funny Because you know he's pretty funny to me. Honestly, I don't really think he's scary same thing with beetlejuice, like I don't think beetlejuice, I saw the new one me too. How did you like it?

Speaker 2:

um, I liked it. I like I don't want to give anything away, so spoil alert. Um, I feel like you know he was a huge trickster in the first one. And I feel like that wasn't on display as much in this one, but I really liked the imagery in this one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It was really good.

Speaker 1:

It was very nice, it was very clean.

Speaker 2:

Like, oh my God, yeah, when they draped the fucking White House in black, I was like like this is sickening. I like that part stuck out to me.

Speaker 1:

yes, yeah, like this is cool that that that was like yeah sickening. I was like oh my god and the church, like the imagery in the could you imagine coming over and I've draped the whole house in like um a black fabric or like mesh mesh. Yes, um morning that's crazy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I I did like the, the more like um the visual aspect on this one. I did like that that's really cool. The church part was cool too, because, like the I don't know I feel like the lighting and everything in there am I, uh?

Speaker 1:

what is she saying? I don't know um, yeah, I think beetlejuice. They did a really good job with beetlejuice. Um, I, I think I mentioned that I wish they would have. Um, they would have had the other couple, uh, from the very, and we're back, so we were talking about Beetlejuice, the reboot of it. I do think it was visually pleasing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love Moira from Schitt's Creek. She played a really good role, as she she always does, so I thought it was really good yeah, it was good.

Speaker 2:

The the acting was very, very well done as well yes, um, I agreed some of the other movies.

Speaker 1:

Have you seen um like uh, I don't know what that is. Have you seen um silent place?

Speaker 2:

no, I I've seen silent hill oh yeah, I've seen silent hill.

Speaker 1:

That used to be one of my type, my top movies too that is really fucking creepy.

Speaker 2:

Now that I that I would bring that up.

Speaker 1:

That one's hella creepy a silent hill yeah yes, but I mean I've been, I've like driven through towns.

Speaker 1:

That are like give that energy yes yeah, a lot of times do it, so yeah like when we drove from Iowa to like further out in Wisconsin. Is that right? Where did we drive from? Yeah, we were in Iowa. Oh, because remember we were out at the same time or something right in wisconsin remember well we were at we this is when we went for the wedding so we drove further, oh, and it was like an hour, but that it was like on the other end of iowa, which was like on the borderline of iowa and wisconsin right on the Mississippi River and one of the cities we drove through was called Strawberry I think it was called Strawberryville or something like that, and it was like nobody was out, nobody was around.

Speaker 2:

No sign of life.

Speaker 1:

No sign of life. There was houses but people weren't really outside, bless you. We went to this one like hotel restaurant to eat and it was like two people that randomly worked there. It was like so quiet it just. You know, I've definitely driven through cities that give like this is giving creepy. Yeah, that give like this is giving creepy yeah this is giving.

Speaker 1:

When the lights go down, it turns into something else right, it turns into a ditty party oh my gosh, the ditty parties I mean the other ones that have been really good were like. The other ones that have been really good were like, you know, like the comedy horror flicks where it's like Scary movie. No, what is this one? Let me see this one's called um. Um, oh, I just saw it anyway, um. Did you see the reboot of the candy man? That one was good it was.

Speaker 2:

Did you ever watch, like the leprechaun, like those older?

Speaker 1:

yes, yes, the leprechaun. I actually just watched the leprechaun recently leprechaun used to be one of my favorite movies yeah, what about?

Speaker 2:

um, I was gonna say another one.

Speaker 1:

Oh, the Conjuring.

Speaker 2:

Oh, the Conjuring yeah.

Speaker 1:

The Conjuring and the Others. Oh my God, the Others is a good movie too. The Conjuring was one of my favorite ones, though that one definitely used to creep me out. I can still watch that to this day and get scared and they even. But the Conjuring did they've done like a whole little franchise and like they connect all the movies like annabelle and annabelle, that's the one I was gonna say annabelle is creepy as fuck yeah, yeah, I've always thought those porcelain dolls are creepy they always always like I mean never and like I feel like everyone has somebody in their family at that at some point.

Speaker 2:

Bless you, that collected, that collected those things and I'm like for what?

Speaker 1:

um, I mean it's funny because I told you I was watching Flex in the City and one of the guys on there was like he was collecting porcelain dolls and I was like what the fuck? And he had like 50 of them on his bed, that he was like having to move off every day and I'm like this is weird.

Speaker 2:

Was one of the girls dating him.

Speaker 1:

No, Stanford was dating him. Oh, that's fucking weird, stanford had met him at a bar and he picked him up from the bar and they went back to his house and he gets there and there's a bunch of little dolls on the bed and he was like, oh my god, like.

Speaker 2:

I gotta go, I gotta go yeah same.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, I never thought porcelain dolls. I've always thought porcelain dolls were creepy. I would turn them around if I saw them in people's houses that I was staying at or something like that. Like this motherfucker's gonna take my soul or something.

Speaker 2:

This is weird um, but yeah, annabelle.

Speaker 1:

Like this motherfucker's gonna take my soul or something. This is weird. But yeah, annabelle, also the Ring. Do you remember the Ring?

Speaker 2:

I never watched it. It looked so creepy. I never watched it.

Speaker 1:

yeah, oh, my God.

Speaker 2:

Remember.

Speaker 1:

Carrie yes, I remember Carrie.

Speaker 2:

That one was pretty creepy.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yeah, carrie was creepy and then they did a reboot when, um, it was like, uh, I think they did it like early 2000s. They did a reboot and the reboot was pretty good yeah. Um but um, the original Carrie was good too. And then like Ghost Ship, do you remember Ghost Ship? Or 13 Ghosts, do you remember that one? That one was good.

Speaker 1:

I don't think I remember 13 Ghosts 13 Ghosts, with Rod Diga was in there as the nanny. Um, she's a rapper, she? Um. So it was about this family that moved into this house and, um, they learned well, from what I understand, actually they were ghosts, all ghost hunters, and so they moved into this. This family had moved into the house and they all got there and the people that came to visit had already been hunting ghosts and they came specifically to do so, essentially, and so, um, that's what they did. The ghosts started turning up and coming out and you know, it was all they were based on. They were based on something specific like that was like in the books or something like that. Um, I can't remember if it was seven daily sins or something, but anyway, I'm sorry, I I think I'm tired yeah, my allergies have been acting up pretty bad lately.

Speaker 2:

I don't I think I'm allergic to dogs, no, because I'm allergic to cats, so maybe it's just like pets.

Speaker 1:

I love the dandruff.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because I don't know. Like anytime I get around my dog I start like sneezing and my nose is itchy and my eye gets red. Yeah, she does go out a lot and I sweep and mop every day to avoid and I don't let her on the couch. So I don't know. Remember last time I went to your house like two times and my eye got like watery and red yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

That usually happens to me when I, that's when I know it's time to go get them bathed, wash their ass, cause they get, they pick up a lot of pollen and they were in their dander and their fur and you know, when they're outside, they, they don't give a fuck. They outside, they trying to lay down, they trying to roll. That's true and everything and I'd be like it's a no for me it's a simple.

Speaker 1:

No well, let's see. What other scary movies do we like? You know it's a real horror movie. It yes, it was another one. I mean, I didn't really get into it until they rebooted it. I never watched the original one. I think I've seen both one and two, though, but it was it's creepy.

Speaker 2:

It is creepy.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I would go on a limb and say that the whole thing is about child molestation, but that's neither here or there. Um, what about gremlins? Oh, those are weird right I liked gremlins, and then you have like movies like interview with a Vampire, which weren't really scary, but more so like I mean, what would this be? What was it called? Let's see Interview with a Vampire. Is it considered a horror film or sci-fi? It as a horror film or sci-fi?

Speaker 2:

are they doing a lot of killing?

Speaker 1:

not really not a lot of killing. I don't know the hunting in Connecticut like when the house was hunted.

Speaker 2:

That was a good one and pretty scary oh yeah, that one was pretty creepy.

Speaker 1:

Harris loves. 28 days later, did you see that? No that one was about an outbreak. Final Destination was a good one for me.

Speaker 2:

I always like Final Destination. That shit has stuck in my head.

Speaker 1:

Yes, every time I get on an airplane I'm like Tanning beds.

Speaker 2:

I could never do a tanning bed because of that and I can never drive behind Trucks With those beams and shit.

Speaker 1:

It's a no for me now. Or the car wash.

Speaker 2:

Sometimes I get anxiety.

Speaker 1:

And the car wash. I don't know which movie, which one was that.

Speaker 2:

I don't remember, but the girl was trying to get out of her freaking sunroof and she couldn't get out and that and her car was stuck there, so it like she drowned in the car wash, in the car wash.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy and died. And I go through the drive-thru car washes so I was like I mean those drive-thru car washes are so short they don't even let you go in the well. The only long one, actually, that I go through sometimes is soap. Is that soapies? And that one does administer a lot of water and moisture like all at one time.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

So I mean that I do get um the what was another one I was gonna mention. Um, yeah, one of my other ones that I do always like to go back to is, um, I used to love vampire movies, so like dracula 2000, or have you ever seen vampire in brooklyn? No it's not necessarily a scary movie, but it is something that I do watch during Halloween season. And Blade I do like Blade.

Speaker 2:

Did you watch the scary movie Like the funny one?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I did. I watched all of them.

Speaker 2:

They're pretty good.

Speaker 1:

The first two were my favorite.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, After that they lost me. Yeah, I got a little too much, a little too fake.

Speaker 1:

But speaking of which, since I think it was since eight, is that what it was called? Or since eight senses, or whatever? Oh, six senses six senses, oh that was a good ass movie yes, I did like that one yeah that one was good and that would um, they did some spoofs of that one in the in the scary movie show um other movies like underworld. Oh, look there, it is the six.

Speaker 2:

What about horror cartoons?

Speaker 1:

Which ones.

Speaker 2:

Like Nightmare Before Christmas. Corpse Bride Coraline.

Speaker 1:

Saw Coraline Was Coraline considered a horror.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's considered a horror cartoon. I think it's by Tim Burton, the same creator of Beetlejuice Interesting and Monster House.

Speaker 1:

Monster House was good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Monster House was good.

Speaker 1:

That used to be my niece's favorite movie.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, amaya loves that and Adam's Amaya loves Wednesday the series. She likes it and the Adam's family and she'll like sing it and she'll snap her little fingers. Love that, cas Casper, remember that movie.

Speaker 1:

I just watched Casper the other day aww, that was a cute one. I used to love that movie it's still, it's an od, but goody yeah, did you like Nightmare Before Christmas or no, I did not like uh nightmare before christmas or no, I did not like it, I just I've never really connected with it got it it was the moving clay for me got it hard.

Speaker 2:

It's hard to relate to that. You know, also like in the jason movies, like when they're out swimming in the lake in the middle of the fucking night in the middle of the woods yep, it's like they're asking for it I'm like what in the carcassian? What is happening bro?

Speaker 1:

yeah, I hear that I just, I, you know, I don't know, I just watched, maybe because we're Californians. I mean no, I just think it's more common sense, right Like, are we going swimming in the lake at midnight?

Speaker 2:

No, they're like skinny div too, huh, or like in their underwear or something.

Speaker 1:

Like. Are you joking? You know something's living in that water, right?

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

And, more than anything, it's going to come and eat whatever it needs to at night.

Speaker 2:

And somebody's probably watching us.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

I feel like Hollywood is being exposed for a lot of things in general and just how the like our generation is just calling out a bunch of shit and shedding light on things. But I don't know. Just you know, I have like I have to like pause and like pull myself out of it because it's like and it's all that comes up on my TikTok right now.
